Industry City Athletic Club
Brooklyn, NY
Industrial Inspired Strength
Inspired by its early 20th century industrial roots, the Industry City Athletic Club reinterprets the spirit of early gym culture for a modern creative campus. The design embraces the building’s existing character, including its exposed structure, generous daylight, and rugged materiality, while introducing a cohesive palette of durable and refined finishes.
Organized around a primary fitness hall with dedicated locker rooms, the gym creates a clear and intuitive flow for users. Raw elements are balanced with thoughtful detailing to create a space that feels both grounded and elevated. Moments of interest and surprise appear throughout, including unexpected textures, bold color moves, and subtle references to the site’s history, which give the club a distinctive identity that honors its past while supporting contemporary wellness needs.
